This is the famous route for the Mera Peak climbing. Trek starts from Lukla along the Paiya and then heads to Chhatra Khola then a continuous trek to Khare, the gateway of the Mera peak climbing. From the Khare walking through the rugged trail over the moraine to Mera Base Camp and Mara High Camp before accumulating the Mera Summit. After the summit return to Khare, Kothe, Thuli Kharka, and then Chutanga via Zatrawa La Pass and then eventually back to Lukla (2868m) before taking flight to Kathmandu. It is the best route for Mera due to the proper acclimatization days.
Overland Mera Peak Climbing-17 Days
It is the classical route for the Mera Peak Climbing. However, due to the road access in the region, you can reach the trailhead by jeep ride from Kathmandu in a single day. If you like to stop in beautiful Salleri Village that is possible before reaching Khari Khola. From Khari Khola, you will trek to Pangkoma then follow the trail to Khare. Khare is the last village then heading to Summit. After the Mera Summit back to Lukla via the upper route.
