The regions flaunt the snow-capped mountain outlooks, comprising soaring peaks such as Annapurna I, the highest at 8,091m, followed by Annapurna II at 7,973m, Annapurna III at 7,555 m, and Annapurna South at 7,219m. Other high peaks in the region include Manaslu (8,163m), Tilicho Peak (7,134m), sacred Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), and Dhaulagiri Massif, with Dhaulagiri I being the highest at 8,167m. These enchanted mountaintops are simply amazing!! The region also exhibits terrain ranging from lush valleys in the south to high altitude deserts in the north; whereas, to the east lies the Masryangdi River and the world’s deepest gorge, Kali Gandaki Gorge, lies to the west. Throng La Pass is the highest point in the Annapurna region, positioned at an elevation of 5,414 m. From the Poon Hill viewpoint situated at 3,210 m, the Annapurna region showcases marvellous sunrise vistas embodying magical sunrise hues that tend to paint the sky with red and orange as if the brush has painted the colour on the plain canvas! This sight, which apparently gives the impression of being unreal, never ceases to fascinate observers gazing at it.
