Our 13-day Langtang Tamang Heritage Trek package begins in Kathmandu, where you'll take a scenic drive to the trek's starting point in Syabrubesi, passing through Nuwakot and Dhunche. During the journey, you'll enjoy views of the countryside, charming villages, lush green valleys, rice terraces, and local ways of life. Once you enter the Rasuwa District, you’ll encounter narrow and deep valleys, rocky terrain, and numerous hydroelectric tunnels and powerhouses. Despite the challenging drive, the breathtaking views make it worthwhile. As part of the Langtang Tamang Heritage Trek itinerary, you will start along the Tamang Heritage Trail from Syabrubesi. However, if you prefer to visit the Langtang Valley segment first, that option is also available at no additional cost through Himalayan Trekking Path Pvt. Ltd.

The Tamang Heritage Trek begins with a one-night stay in Syabrubesi. During your stay, you can visit the hot springs and monasteries and explore the nearby town, which is located close to the Tibetan border. Your journey then leads you through stunning landscapes to Gatlang (2240m), a culturally rich Tamang village that showcases a wonderful ancient lifestyle and warm hospitality. From Gatlang, you will descend along a trail to Chelime Khola, which is home to the Chelime Hydropower Plant, the first hydropower project developed by the Nepalese government using their manpower and technology. From Chelime Khola, you'll ascend to Tatopani village (2600m), known for its natural hot springs and beautiful surroundings, all while experiencing the rich Tamang culture. Continuing the trek, you will reach the highest point of the Tamang Heritage Trail at Nagthali Ghyang (3165m).
