The 3-day Ghorepani Trek begins in Pokhara, a picturesque city located by a lake. From there, it is a 2-hour drive to Hile, passing through charming local villages, a river valley, and scenic spots like Birethanti, Ramghai, Sudame, and Hile. After reaching Hile, the trek continues to Tikhedhunga, where you will experience the subtropical climate and easy terrain. Along the way, you will cross two suspension bridges and ascend 3200 stone steps, offering breathtaking views of the valley, until you reach Ulleri, a Magar Village situated at an altitude of 2000m. From Ulleri, the trail to Ghorepani takes you through the world's largest rhododendron forest, vibrant tea houses, lush green valleys, and diverse flora and fauna. As you approach Ulleri, you will be greeted by the majestic peaks of Annapurna South and Hiuchuli. Just 20 minutes after Ulleri, from Banthanti, you will be treated to a mesmerizing view of the Fishtail mountain.

Today marks the beginning of the short Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. Our objective for the day is to travel from Pokhara to Ghorepani, also known as Horse Water. We will meet at 7:30 AM for a jeep ride to Hile, where we will traverse a picturesque landscape that showcases local villages, charming terraces, river valleys, and stunning scenery. Upon arrival at Hile, we will commence our trek to Tikhedhunga (1500m), where we will pause for lunch. After our meal, we will continue towards Ulleri Village (2000m), a Magar settlement, crossing two suspension bridges over the Modi Khola River before beginning our ascent. The journey includes a challenging two-hour uphill trek, consisting of 3,300 stone steps leading to Ulleri. From Ulleri, we will proceed to Ghorepani, passing through Banthanti and Nangethanti, while enjoying views of the expansive Rhododendron forest and glimpses of Annapurna South (7219m), Himchuli (6442m), and Machhapuchhre (6994m). After approximately six hours of trekking, we will arrive in Ghorepani, where you will be greeted by breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. We will spend the night at the Hungry Eye Lodge.

Rise early each morning, at least one hour before sunrise, to embark on a hike to Pooh Hill (3210m), the highest point of the Poon Hill trek. Prepare your gear and set off towards Pooh Hill in the darkness, equipped with a flashlight; the journey will take approximately one hour. As daylight breaks, you will be greeted by stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, showcasing over 20 breathtaking peaks. Take a moment to appreciate the magnificent scenery before trekking back to Ghorepani for breakfast. After your meal, continue your journey towards Tadapani village, which involves a trek of 5 to 6 hours covering a distance of 15 km through beautiful rhododendron forests and awe-inspiring mountain vistas. The first segment features a gradual ascent to Deurali (3100m), followed by a descent to Banthanti via a river gorge, where you will pause for lunch. Afterward, follow the gentle trail, descending to the river before ascending to Tadapani. You will stay at a lodge in Tadapani village, which offers some of the best viewpoints of Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal, Annapurna III, and more.

Today marks the final day of the brief Ghorepani Trek. If you wish to experience the sunrise, consider rising early. After breakfast, you will make your way to Ghandruk, passing through Bhaisi Kharka and a lush forest, all while enjoying views of the Annapurna mountains. The trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk will take approximately three hours. Ghandruk is the largest Gurung village, where you can immerse yourself in Gurung culture, explore the local lifestyle, visit the museum, and take in stunning mountain vistas. Following this, we will proceed to Syauli Bazar for lunch before embarking on a short scenic drive to Pokhara. The short Poon Hill trek will conclude once we drop you off at your hotel in Pokhara.
