The Best Seasons for Short Dolpo Trekking:

The ideal time to explore the enigmatic landscape and distinct culture of the Bon region in Dolpo is during the Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). These seasons offer the best weather conditions for the short Dolpo Trek, which serves as a gateway to real adventure. Winter is too cold and challenging at high passes, with unclear weather hindering trekking. Similarly, the rainy season is not recommended due to frequent flight delays and slippery trails at lower elevations. It is advisable to plan your visit during Spring or Autumn to fully enjoy the beauty and adventure of this remote region in far-western Nepal.
